Accessibility & Accommodations
Our website
Conner Trails wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. Our work so far includes text descriptions for images, a clear heading structure, labelled form fields, readable color contrast and a “skip to content” link.
Our site is built on Squarespace, and some parts of the platform are outside our direct control. If any part of the site is hard to use, tell us and we will give you the information another way, by phone, email or in person, and work to fix the problem.
Our programs and facility
We welcome riders, students and visitors of all abilities. If you or someone in your group needs an accommodation to take part in a lesson, party, Equine Assisted Learning session, team-building program or CPR class, please let us know when you contact us. Examples include extra time, mounting help, a quieter session, written or visual instructions, or having a support person or service animal present.
We will work with you on reasonable changes. Some requests may be limited by the safety of riders, staff and horses (for example, rider weight limits or the need to sit safely in the saddle). When that happens we will talk with you about alternatives, such as unmounted (ground) activities.
Getting around the farm: Conner Trails is a working horse farm, and some areas have gravel, grass or dirt surfaces. Contact us before your visit and we’ll describe parking and the facilities and plan any help you need.
Please note: we are not a therapeutic riding (adaptive riding) or hippotherapy program, and our Equine Assisted Learning program is not psychotherapy.
